This Boulder Opal was sourced directly from a mine in Queensland, Australia. Boulder opals are similar to opal crystal gemstones in that the same minerals are used to make both, however boulder opals are formed in cracks + fractures in ironstone rather than in larger cavities, where more traditional opal gems are found.  
This opal has such a bright + cheery color and it’s set in solid 14K yellow gold. It’s a one of a kind ring, made with a comfortable half round shank that’s  4mm wide. 

Size is 6.5 but can be easily resized.
