Originally, according to Ojibwe legend, “dreamcatchers” weren’t ever explicitly connected with dreams. Rather, the protective spiderweb charm originates in connection to Asibikaashi, AKA Spider Woman, who takes care of all the children and the people on the land. These small charms, which were hung above a baby’s bed, became an extension of Asibikaashi, offering protection to sleeping children. Spiderweb charms were, and still are important symbols in Native American and First Nation’s cultures.

It’s in this spirit, that we offer these beautiful 14K and blue sapphire Dreamcatcher earrings. I’ve been wearing just one in my second pearcing, but a pair would also look so sweet….
